The total of distributed testaments this week was 189,575, to God be the Glory!
We had a Pastor's Banquet tonight, I spoke and gave Shannon's testimony, the local Gideons were moved and some asked me to write it down for them.
I have experienced every emotion possible during this blitz.
We are all ready to come home to our families.
Thank you all for your prayers and support of this mission trip.

November 6, 2008

We distributed 4,873 testaments today. I would be outside a classroom feeling really exhausted, but when I saw the kids faces in the classrooms I had plenty of energy, God is Good!
We were in the principals office at a school when Manfouo Cle'ment (a local Gideon) got a phone call. He came over and said his wife had just delivered a bouncing baby boy. We asked if he was going home and he replied, "NO we have work to do." I asked what the baby's name was and he said they didn't have one picked out, I suggested Gideon and he liked that and said that was it.
I have always heard that you get silly when you're tired. At dinner tonight we were laughing at everything. My sides are sore from laughing, laughter is good medicine.
We are praying that we don't run out of bibles, God is really moving here.

November 5, 2008

Schools dismissed at twelve today, my team distributed over 3,000 testaments.
This blitz has been an eye opener for me. There is such a hunger for the Lord here
and they have a treasure when they get a testament. It is believed that a testament here will touch at least four people, this is priceless.
We are all getting really tired now and desire your prayers for stamina and strength to finish this blitz.
The estimates now are that we will probably distribute over 200,000 testaments,
to God be the Glory!

November 4, 2008

Today we visited 4 schools and distributed 6,913 testaments, this is just my team.
All of the teams combined have already given out over 80,000 bibles. They are having more brought in from other places.
At one school some of the others literally got mobbed when they began giving out the testaments. There were torn shirts and jackets, they asked me how I got away unscathed, I said it was because I'm so much taller than everyone else.
One school had a class for girls who had new babies and we gave scriptures to them, that was a special time.
One teacher asked me to go through the plan of salvation with his class. I knew this would happen eventually, we ran out of bibles today and there was one little girl who kept asking me for a bible, I told her that I didn't have anymore and she asked if I would take her picture, I did.
We do not stop for lunch so the power bars are really helpful.

November 3, 2008

Today we visited six schools and distributed 3,338 scriptures, to God be the Glory!
Witchcraft is rampant here, its not a pretty site. Please continue to pray for us as we distribute scriptures to men, women, boys, and girls here in Yaounde. The local Gideons do not own a car, so we rented a taxi for the week for $50. We are so blessed to be doing the Lord's work, thank you for your prayers.
